Background Gastronomically Speaking

Insectivores!  What do they munch?

Well insects make a tasty lunch.

These creatures soon will lick their lips

At nice grilled worms – but please, no chips!

A carnivore prefers his meat –

So tell me just he what might eat?

Roast beef, grilled fish and meaty stew -

Are loved by carnivores like you.

Herbivores?  They don’t want meat:

So plants and vegetables they’ll eat –

A sheep, a cow, a goat or ass

Enjoy a tasty field of grass.

Omnivores, like you and me,

Will eat most things – we all agree:

Fruit and veg, and tasty meat?

Yes, all of these we humans eat.
